We recently shared how we’ve refined our services into three core areas and one of these is “The Buck Stops Here”. Here is a bit more information about this service (which is only available in the Western Cape).

Purpose

The heart of our business is to uplift the poorer members of our community, especially the farm workers in Morningstar, Cape Farms, and surrounding areas.

Prices are kept low to ensure affordability, and it’s amazing how quickly even the smallest amounts can make a meaningful difference!

What We Do

We collect a wide range of goods, including: clothing, household items, linen, stationery, jewellery, bags, luggage, and more. Please note: we do not accept furniture; we really can only take items that fit into a small hatchback car.

After collection, we sort all items and decide what to donate, recycle, discard, or sell. We price the sellable items ourselves and advertise the goods through our WhatsApp Group and on Facebook (Marketplace and Auction Page)

What We Charge

Profit is split 50:50 between you and us. Collection is free if you are within 20km of Morningstar, Cape Farms. Sellers are usually paid during the first week of the new month, as we allow some buyers to pay at month-end and many only receive their wages on the last day of the month.

What We Don’t Do

We don’t specialise in vintage, high-value, or specialty items. If you’re hoping to get top price for something unique, it’s best to sell it yourself.

We believe there’s a buyer for almost everything and we give every item its best chance to shine! So if we can’t move it… it probably wasn’t meant to be sold.
